The Statistics Study Program is the first study program in the Faculty of Mathematics and Science that prepares its graduates to become experts in data analysis. This study applies the enthusiastic statisticians curriculum with concentrations on Data Scientist, Actuary, Business and Social, Industry and Disaster Management. The current era of information technology has resulted in a flood of data across agencies and industries at both national and international levels. The needs of experts who can collect, process, manage, analyze, interpret and present data is still very minimal compared with the needs required due to the data flood. As reported by many of the world’s best-performing websites in 2017, statisticians have the highest annual income since a person skilled in statistics will be able to be deployed in various fields. Statisticians are highly valued because of their ability in analyzing data to measure and predict future corporate circumstances based on data so that appropriate and profitable management actions can be taken by the company.

Currently, Ull’s Statistics Study Program is becoming a trend setter in the development of studies on Big Data analysis by organizing workshops, trainings, international conferences featuring companies and global experts specializing in Big Data such as Google, Cloudera, UTM Big Data Center and many others.
