Bachelor of Medical Education

Faculty of Medicine UII was established in 2001, based on the Decree of the Directorate General of Higher Education No. 368/DIKTI/Kep/ 2001. It recently managed to earn A Accreditation (Very Good) for the Study Program of Bachelor of Medicine (S.Ked) and Study Program of Medical Profession (PSPD) based on SK LAM-PTKes, Number: 0006/LAM-PTKes/Akr.Bd/Sar/X/2017 and Number: 0007/LAM-PTKes/Akr.Bd/Pro/X/2017). Since its founding, PSPD Ull has employed learning method that uses problem based learning system and SPICES approach (student-centered, problem-based, integrated, community-based, elective and systematic)

PSPD FK Ull uses a competency-based curriculum as per the recommendation of Dikti and Indonesian Medical Council (KKI). The curriculum is aligned with KKNI and SNPTI (National Standard for Indonesian Higher Education). In its educational process, PSPD FK Ull uses a curriculum that is integrated with Islamic values. This is one of its excellencies in shaping Moslem doctors and realize the vision of rahmatan Iil’alamin (Ulil Albab Curriculum). The purposes of the FK Ull PSPD are as follows: to educate professional physicians who are charitable, concretely put his/her knowledge into practice, and possesses akhlakul karimah; to act as a care provider, community leader, decision maker, manager and communicator; and to be able to provide primary care doctor service through the approach of Moslem physician (be a good muslim doctor).

The learning process of this study program consists of two stages. The first is the S.Ked stage with a total of 148 credits, while the second is the stage of medical profession of 43 credits.

The learning process of FK Ull is conducted in Ull Integrated Campus and in several partner university hospitals (RSP) and community health centers across Yogyakarta, Central Java and East Java. FK Ull Primary University Hospital is RSUD dr. Soedono Madium. Prospective physicians must pass the national physician competency test, which then followed by the physician’s oath as a requirement to hold a medical degree.

In supporting the learning process, PSPD FK Ull has various representative facilities such as tutorial discussion room, lecture rooms, comprehensive library, medical skills laboratory, OSCE center, e-Iearning, online information services as well as primary university hospital, affiliation hospital, and hospital network. Yayasan Badan Wakaf Ull has built Ull Hospital located in Pandak, Bantul, which will be used for learning process.
