Master of Architecture

The Master of Architecture Program UII develops graduates with Design Research expertise in the context of architecture, that reflects the teachings of rahmatan lil alamin (a mercy to all creations), which include the values of sustainability , resilience , quality of life , and humanity . In order to achieve these goals, students will learn various ways of conducting critical thinking, develop contextual sensitivity, as well as producing a solutive built environment design.
Career Opportunities
Architecture is an integration of various scientific disciplines to create a built environment as a place for various human activities. The success of an architectural design is supported by valid information used to make the right decisions of design. This valid information is the result of an in-depth architectural design research, which is the main competency of graduates from the Master of Architecture Program of Universitas Islam Indonesia (MArs UII). Competence in design research requires critical thinking skills, developed through a holistic educational process, that is hoped to develop graduates who have mastered the formulation of the “state of the art” in architectural design.
Application Requirements and Procedures
The application process for new Master of Architecture students is done at the beginning of each semester (February and August). Application requirements are as follows:
- Fill in the application form (the form & the recommendation letter template can be downloaded from the Application Form) or can be filled in online here: Online Form) (http://architecture.uii.ac.id/mars/)
- Pay an application fee of 500,000. This application fee is non-refundable should the applicant decided to not continue to the selection process.)*
- Transfer to:

Bank Mandiri 137 0013024332 - Submit a photocopy of supporting documents in accordance with the selected application path. Supporting documents that apply to all paths include:
- 1 photocopy of the latest diploma (legalized), i.e. PPAr diploma for applicants in paths 1, 2; and Bachelor’s degree certificate in Architecture for applicants in path 3.
- 1 photocopy of a transcript in accordance with the diploma above (legalized).
- 1 photocopy of an English proficiency certificate from any institution, with a minimum
grade of 425 paper-based TOEFL or equivalent. - 1 colored passport photo sized 4cm x 6cm
