Bachelor of Engineering (Environmental Engineering)
Faculty of Civil Engineering & Planning
Faculty of Civil Engineering & Planning
The Environmental Engineering Program (PSTL) was established on September 22, 1999 and had received A accreditation from BAN-PT in 2011. Education in UII’s PSTL is directed toward competitive excellency that produces professionals who are able to design, build, operate and maintain environmental management facilities, especially in terms of water supply, waste management, domestic and industrial waste water management, air quality management, environmental management and OSH (Occupational Safety and Health). This is supported with the application of international standard curriculum and student outcomes based education system which refers to ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) from the USA. On August 14, 2017, UII’s PSTL received international accreditation from Engineering Accreditation Commission (one of the commissions at ABET) with a full validity period from October 1, 2015 to September 30, 2023. This accumulation of international accreditations turns UII’s PSTL into the first and only environmental engineering study program of a private university in Indonesia to gain accreditation from ABET.
PSTL has 24 permanent lecturers from various reputable universities in Indonesia and abroad. Equipped with advanced laboratory facilities, the learning process at PSTL is expected to produce high quality and highly competitive graduates. The laboratories at UII’s PSTL have been accredited by KAN (National Accreditation Committee) in 2010 for the implementation of IS0/lEC17025:2005 system in testing laboratories. They have also become the Ministry of Environment and Forestry’s recommended environmental laboratory since 2016.
