The Civil Engineering Study Program (PSTS) at the Islamic University of Indonesia, which was established on October 12 1964, has a high quality program in the implementation of civil engineering education. A strong and conducive academic atmosphere enables an intensive learning process in terms of problem solving, design, project management, teamwork and leadership as well as communication skills. The process is led by 52 permanent faculty members consisting of 3 seismic professors, 15 doctors and 3 doctoral candidates who are graduates from the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Netherlands, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia. Comprehensive and quality educational facilities such as eight Iaboratoriums, study centers and many others greatly support the learning, research and cooperation process.
PSTS has various excellences and achievements. PSTS received Technological and Professional Skills Development Sector Project (TPSDP) grant in the amount of 15 billion rupiah in 2006-2010. After three consecutive A Accreditation from BAN-PT, in September 2013 PSTS started implementing an internationally standardized education system. Its education system meets the criteria of JABEE (Japan Accreditation Board for Engineering Education), which are based on the outcome based education and continuous quality improvement principles. Civil Engineering Study Program has been internationally accredited since 2015 and is the first civil engineering study program in Indonesia to be accredited by JABEE. The JABEE accreditation certificate was awarded to PSTS in March 2016. PSTS is also the first private study program to be accredited by the IABEE (Indonesian Accreditation Board for Engineering Education) in 2017. In preparing more competitive graduates within the global community as well as opening its gates to foreign students, in 2017 PSTS holds International Class.
