Student Life at UII

Student institutions and various student circles (Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa/UKM) offer a space to improve the students’ interests and talents in academic, creativity, arts, and sports, such as marching bands, choir, volleyball, martial arts, outdoor tracking, and many more.

These UKM activities in UII channel the students’ interest and talents, and continue to encourage them to reach higher achievements. We are extremely proud of the various achievements of UII students at the regional, national, and international levels. The glorious victories in these various competitions show the quality and competence of UII students, being able and ready to compete globaly.

Campus Facilities

Various campus facilities at Universitas Islam Indonesia are provided to help students in getting the best learning experience while studying at UII. Supported by an Integrated Campus with an area of more than 35 hectares, the UII campus is designed to unite people, places, and programs that support the growth of positive interactions both inside and outside of class. UII also has several campus buildings and supporting facilities located in strategic areas all across Yogyakarta.

UII has dozens of supporting facilities that ensure all academics, stakeholders, and the entire community can benefit from UII with our vision: rahmatan lil ‘alamin, . These supporting facilities can be accessed by students, alumni, and people in Yogyakarta.

UII Central Library has a collection of more than 500,000 book titles and online reference sources that continues to grow. The Central Library is located in the Mohammad Hatta Building at the UII Integrated Campus, Jalan Kaliurang Yogyakarta. The Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) can be accessed online through the UII Library Directorate web page.

Ulil Albab Mosque is the main building at the heart of the Integrated Campus and is one of 100 most beautiful Mosques in Indonesia. Upon entering this Campus, the Ulil Albab Mosque will immediately come in sight to welcome you.

Prof. KH. Abdulkahar Mudzakkir Auditorium is part of a multi-functional building. Students and the local communities can make use of this facility. Information on the schedule for using this Auditorium can be found on the Auditorium web page.

Islamic Boarding School of Universitas Islam Indonesia is an innovation with the purpose of connecting one’s religious life with their academic life.

Jogja International Hospital is dedicated by UII to the wider community for providing medical services and is under the management of PT Unisia Medika Farma (PT UMF) which is one of the business units of the UII Waqf Foundation.

UII Hospital provides health services given by medical specialist and medical personnel who are professional in their fields, and is supported by complete and modern medical facilities and technologies along with clean and friendly environment in order to give the best service.

Polifarma Pharmacy in the Integrated Campus provides health facilities for students and the local community. General practitioner services are also provided at certain hours.

UII Career Center is an institution that helps alumni both in getting or creating jobs (Entrepreneur). This institution provides capacity building programs for students and alumni through relevant training programs, including Jobseeker Workshop, Entrepreneur Workshop, Career Mentoring, Psychological Testing, and Career Counseling.

Ki Bagoes Hadikoesoemo Sports Hall (GOR) is a sports facility owned by UII. This highly representative sports hall has a capacity of approximately 600 people. There is one basketball court and 3 badminton courts for students and general public to use.

Student Convention Center is a building intended to be the center of UII student activities. This building facility is rented out for Seminars, Workshops, Trainings, Gatherings, and other activities for the general public.

Basic Accommodation for students is a new building donated by the Ministry of Public Housing which was given to UII at the end of 2007. This Basic Accommodation has a capacity of 300 students but is temporarily designated for student activities.

Center for International Language and Cultural Studies Universitas Islam Indonesia (CILACS UII) is a Language and Cultural Training Center under Universitas Islam Indonesia, Yogyakarta. As one of the supporting units, CILACS UII is committed to improve Foreign Language competencies within the UII academic community. Along with that, CILACS UII also has a broad goal to take part as a leading foreign language education institution in Yogyakarta.

Periplus Bookstore provides thousands of academic reference books, novels, and imported knowledge books. This outlet is the first Periplus Bookstore in Indonesia to operate in a University environment.

Unisi Radio 104.5 FM is one of the first university broadcast radios in Yogyakarta. This radio station was founded in 1969 with the name CBS – Campus Broadcasting Station, which was initiated by students of Universitas Islam Indonesia Indonesia on behalf of Prof. Dr. Abdulkahar Mudzakkir.

Unisia Insan Islamic Bank Indonesia aims to develope businesses that are syar’i, and play a role in promoting the growth of Islamic Banking Financial transactions in Yogyakarta. A few of the Bank’s main services include student financing, health financing, and trip financing.

UII Gas Station is a new business unit managed by the UII Waqf Foundation. Its location that is near to the UII Integrated Campus provides easy access for the academic community and the wider community to get refueling services for their vehicles.
